For those loyal folks who follow this site or check in from time to time, you’ve likely noticed that there has been a dearth of new content since the end of the summer. The main reason for that is that I enrolled in a graduate program in economics this fall. It’s been more than a decade since I finished my earlier graduate degree, and almost twenty years since I had to reckon with mathematical, statistical, and economic concepts in a rigorous academic setting, so there has been some adjustment!

I’ve also continued to have a variety of health issues, from my first ever case of Covid, to another surgery, along with more workaday concerns. With all that, it has been hard to find the time to write about whisky! I’m hoping that as I readjust to the pace of grad school and–I hope–have less health disruption, that I will be able to resume more regular posting.
